Join the Society in celebrating its centennial by toasting brides from the 1920s through the 2020s in this special display in the Perkins Stone Mansion curated by Denise Remark Lundell. Each room is a different decade with vintage clothing, accessories and wedding gifts on display representing the era.

This exhibition will allow you to step back in time, remember when and plan for the future with gowns, photographs and more featuring people you know in the Akron and Summit County community including Society board directors, staff, volunteers and friends such as our neighbor and 33rd district State Representative Veronica Sims.

Tours are available by appointment in April & May. Ticket sales end one day prior to purchase to allow the Society to make arrangement for volunteers to give guided tours of the estate.

Purchased tickets included tours of both the Perkins Stone Mansion, the home of Akron & Summit County's founding family, and the John Brown House, one-time rented home of the famed abolitionist. A special display by Robert Greer of the Akron Black Artist Guild will be on display at the John Brown House through mid April.
