Akron's affordable family friendly entertainment. Lock 3 is located next to the Akron Civic Theatre in downtown Akron. Each summer Lock 3 features a dynamic variety of entertainment. Friday nights the amphitheater hosts WONE's Rock the Lock concerts featuring the country's best tribute acts. Saturday brings Lock 3 Live! concerts with national touring artists.

The excitement doesn't end when the weather turns cold. November - January, Lock 3 hosts Ohio's largest outdoor ice skating rink, Polar Putt Putt and more. Events happen rain or shine.

Lock 3 is currently undergoing renovations as part of the Lock 3 Vision Plan, a key component of the resident-led Akron Civic Commons 2.0 project that plans to build on the success of Lock 3 Park as a successful event, concert and festival public space and develop a year-round park that is a destination for residents, guests, hikers, and bicyclists along the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail. The renovations are expected to be completed in fall 2024.

In the meantime, Lock 3 events are still happening in lovely temporary spaces adjacent to the park.
