Akron Zoo’s Popular Wine Tasting is Aug. 12

August 3, 2023, AKRON, Ohio – The Akron Zoo’s popular wine tasting event, Wild for Wine, returns on Saturday, Aug. 12 from 6 – 9 p.m. During the event, guests can sample wine from local wineries stationed throughout the zoo and enjoy a live animal painting demonstration.

Tickets include nine tastings and admission to the zoo after hours. Live music will be provided by Tyler Chaffee and food trucks – 28th and South, Scott's Fire & Ice and The Real Chefs Food – will be available for purchase.

Wineries include Lincoln Way Vineyards, Magna Wine Boutique, Maize Valley Winery, Nauti Vine Winery, Sundog Cellars, Sunny Slope Winery, The Winery at Wolf Creek, Troutman Vineyards and Winery, White Timbers Winery and Ugly Bunny Winery.

Tickets are available at akronzoo.org/wild-for-wine. Akron Zoo members are $33 and non-members are $38. Designated driver tickets are available for $20 for Akron Zoo members and $25 for non-members.

Wild for Wine is 21 and older only, including designated drivers. Infants and children will not be admitted.

The Akron Zoo is open 361 days a year. Summer hours are 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Admission is $14 for adults, $12 for seniors (ages 62+) and $11 for children (ages 2 – 14). Children under two are free and parking is $5. For more information visit www.akronzoo.org or call (330) 375-2550.
